It’s that time of year to get ready for school to start again.

Vacations are over.

Pool days are nearing the end.

Lazy days will be a memory soon.

School starts soon and we need school supplies and sleeping late will be no more.

Safety is the most important thing to think about as people send their kids off to the first day of school.

Things to keep in mind:

If your child walks to school they should always walk on the sidewalk if possible.  If it is not then they should walk on the side of the street facing traffic.  And always look both ways before crossing the road.

When riding a bike to school they should always wear a bike helmet and bright colored clothing so drivers can clearly see them.

Walk your child to the bus stop and educate them on the proper way to enter the bus and how far back they should stand from the curb.
